Mornington Medical Group offers immunisations to children, adults and travellers. We believe immunisation is the safest and most effective way to protect yourself and the community against potentially life threatening infectious diseases.
- All childhood immunisations are bulk billed.
- Medicare does not cover the cost of travel vaccinations, but your private health insurer may refund part of the cost.
2020 Flu Vaccinations are available. The government is releasing stock intermittently so please check our home page for current stock availability.
Travel health & immunisations
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Australian Government has recommended no travel.
Mornington Medical Group is an accredited travel vaccination practice. We carry a stock of common travel vaccines including Yellow Fever. Our doctors advise you to discuss travel medicine with them well before you intend to travel.
Please complete and submit our pre-travel vaccine assessment form (including Yellow fever).
To help resolve and manage symptoms of anxiety and depression we offer GP mental health plans, counselling and psychology referrals.
Our modern, well-equipped treatment facilities are open during normal business hours. In the case of an emergency, please call our triage nurse on 03 5975 2633 prior to your arrival for appropriate advice and preparation.
Acute medical care
Our doctors practice general medicine including diagnosis, health advice and management.
Our male and female doctors are experienced in offering a full range of services to women of all ages from routine gynecological checks to shared antenatal care with Frankston Hospital.
Chronic disease management
We offer GP management plans, GP mental health plans and team care arrangements. This provides access to services from many allied health practitioners and psychologists. To find out if you qualify for one of our management plans, please make an appointment with your doctor. Our chronic disease nurse will then help implement your plan.
Our doctors are qualified to conduct skin and mole checks including:
- Treatment plans including cryotherapy and minor surgery
- Referral to plastic surgeons or dermatologist
Our male and female doctors are qualified to care for many men’s health issues including sports injuries, sexual health and prostate cancer screening.
Adolescent health care
Our doctors work with teenagers to negotiate a range of health health issues including safer sex, the use of alcohol and illicit drugs, plus body image concerns which can lead to crash dieting, eating disorders and obesity.
Mornington Medical Group offers pre-work and dive medicals. These medical assessments are designed to ensure you meet strict health and safety regulations. Please complete and submit our dive medical questionnaire before your consultation.
