My Medicare
My Medicare is a new voluntary patient registration model. It aims to formalise the relationship between patients, their general practice, general practitioner and primary care teams. We encourage regular patients of the doctors who work from the clinic to registrar for this program at the clinic with the benefits including:
- It is voluntary and free to register in My Medicare.
- When you register in My Medicare, it will notify your general practice that you have chosen them as your regular care team. Additional funding will be available from the government to help them provide the care you need.
- My Medicare patients will have access to greater continuity of care with your registered practice, improving health outcomes
- longer Medicare Benefit Scheme (MBS) funded telehealth consultations with your GP
Doctor Changes
Dr Poole completed his medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2021 and has since spent time working in hospitals across both regional and metropolitan Victoria before commencing his GP training in 2024. Dr Poole enjoys all aspects of general practice and commences at the clinic from August 2025.
Health Promotion
This National Diabetes Week (13 – 19 July 2025), Diabetes Victoria is encouraging people to schedule a health check today, for a healthier tomorrow.
For people living with diabetes, regular health checks for eyes, feet, blood pressure and kidneys can reduce the risk of long-term complications. For people at risk of type 2 diabetes, Diabetes Victoria recommends the AUSDRISK tool or a chat with your doctor.
